Trend Analysis Trend Analysis is an instrument normally used by controlling, and is formally a time-line analysis. Using a Timeseries Data Mining algorithm, the KPIs of a scorecard are examined in respect to the development in time. The resulting trend is displayed on a dashboard as a linear graph. Based on historical data, a prognosis is made about the future development of the KPIs. This prognosis serves as a detector for upcoming trends and allows early intervention by decision makers.
